What RamBuddy does

A clear overview instead of questionable “RAM cleaner” claims.

📊 Memory at a glance

Shows used and available physical memory in gigabytes and as a percentage.

  • Choose a 3, 5, 10 or 15-second refresh interval
  • Plain-language comfortable, getting-low and low states
  • Up to 50 processes, searchable by app name or process ID, with an optional background-process filter

🔔 A patient warning

Adjust the threshold and wait time so brief memory spikes do not trigger an immediate warning.

  • Adjust the threshold from 5% to 30%
  • Choose a wait time from 30 seconds to 5 minutes
  • The alert clears when memory recovers
  • Settings are saved locally on your computer

🛡️ You stay in control

RamBuddy never closes apps automatically. After confirmation, you can send a normal close request to an app window.

  • Save your work first; apps may have unsaved changes
  • Windows may hide details for some apps
  • Closing an app does not guarantee that all its displayed memory will be freed

🔒 Local, with no RAM tricks

The preview reads local Windows information and does not send a process list to a server.

  • No account, subscription or network access required
  • No automatic process termination or cache clearing
  • Windows manages cached memory itself

Preview: known limitations

  • The app must remain open to refresh memory status and show alerts.
  • There is no tray icon, startup integration or persistent settings yet.
  • Some processes may not be visible without administrator privileges.
  • This early preview has not been independently security reviewed.
