What’s included

Version 2.0 sticks to two jobs: cleaning up old Temp files and switching your power plan for gaming.

🧹 Check temporary files

WeberTool checks your Temp folder and shows how many old files it found and how much space they use.

  • Only files that have not changed for at least 7 days
  • Folders, links and read-only files are left alone
  • Files currently in use are skipped
  • Nothing is deleted until you confirm

🎮 Power plan for gaming

Switch Windows to High performance while you play, then switch back afterwards.

  • Your current power plan is remembered
  • It is restored when you turn the mode off or close the app
  • High performance can use more power and create more heat
  • If Windows cannot switch plans, you will see an error

Download it and open it. There is nothing to install.

🔒 What stays untouched

Your personal files and Windows settings stay as they are.

  • No Documents, Downloads or Office files
  • No browser data, Windows folders or registry entries
  • No services, startup apps, drivers or game files
  • No GPU or telemetry settings are changed

Worth knowing: Removing Temp files can free up storage, but it will not automatically make games faster. High performance can use more power and create more heat; any difference depends on your PC.

If your PC feels slow

  • Check startup apps: Settings → Apps → Startup lets you switch off apps you do not need. Leave security software on.
  • Get updates: Use Windows Update or your PC maker’s website. Most people do not need a separate “driver updater.”
  • Free up space: Windows Storage settings show what is using your disk. Back up important files before deleting anything.
  • Keep vents clear: A PC that gets too hot may slow itself down. Give the fans room to move air.
  • For an older PC: An SSD can make a big difference. More memory helps if you run out while using several apps.
  • For games: Check Windows Game Mode and your graphics driver. Change one thing at a time and test it.
